About This Item
A nice copy of the 1958 edition of Levi's first treatise on magic, translated by Arthur Edward Waite. Levi was a French esotericist, poet, and writer who became key in the study of Occultism. Chapters include: the blazing pentagram; the Sabbath of the sorcerers; witchcraft and spells; black magic; necromancy; the key of occultism, and many others. A nice copy: pages are bright and clean, with no inscriptions, notes, foxing (literally a couple of spots on front FEP) or tanning. A small original 'Aquarian Book Service' stamp is on the front FEP. Boards are clean and have minor corner crumpling, front cover is lightly loose from initial pages ( see photo) but no impact at all on the nice tight binding. No DJ. Many illustrations. See photos all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos
