London: The Folio Society, 2015. First Folio Society edition (hardback). 8vo (23cm by 15cm), xv, 205pp. With an introduction by A S Byatt, and 7 colour plates by James Boswell. Original illustrated boards, dark brown card slipcase. The book is in very good condition; the slipcase is lightly rubbed.
Synopsis
Margaret Allingham was a prolific writer who sold her first story at age eight and published her first novel before turning 20. Allingham went on to become one of the pre-eminent writers who helped bring the detective story to maturity in the 1920s and 1930s.
