About This Item
Mountain View, CA, (1939): Pacific Press Pub. Association. First Edition. Octavo. 96 pages. The author wrote that Marijuana (using an old spelling) destroys will power, making a jellyfish of the user, so that he eliminates the line between right and wrong, and substitutes one's own warped desires or the base suggestions of others as the standard of right. Above all, causes crime; fills the victim with an irrepressible urge to violence. Photographs of authorities destroying the plant, examples of how the drug was used in various cultures, and the full text of the 1937 act to tax those who grew the plant. Bound in red cloth accented in black and green, lettering black and green, spine lettering black, Ex-lib. De Baca County, Ft. Sumner, New Mexico with their stamp, cloth faded, very light wear to spine ends and corners. A very good copy.
