Photographic frontispiece + 17 more photographs throughout text taken by the author, complemented by additional line drawings by George Varian. Hardcover octavo has brown cloth-covered boards with cover design, lettering to front & spine, & top page edges in Gilt. Deckle bottom page edges. is in VG condition: exceptional. No DJ, as issued by publisher. Flaws: bumped corners, rubbing to extremities, square piece cut out of last blank page at bottom. Short tearing to both front & rear hinges. Erased pencil marks from former Boston bookshop on ffep; their sticker still there. Infrequent, random foxed spots.
