Shakespeare, William. The Tragedie of Cymbeline. London: Ernest Benn Limited, 1923. lvii, 13pp., 5 color plates, (13" x 10") 4to. Number 303 of 450 copies, printed on pure rag paper. Black-titled linen spine over boards. Illustrated by Albert Rutherston.
Albert Rutherston worked as an artist, stage designer, and illustrator. He also designed for private presses in the 1920's. The Players' Shakespeare is an edition of Shakespeare's dramatic works printed literatim from the First Folio of 1623 and illustrated by artists interested in the modern stage, whose object has been to aid in creating for the reader the atmosphere of the ideal dramatic representation.
