Anna Pigeon's experiences as a park ranger stem in part from the author's own experiences - Barr was working as a seasonal park ranger at Mesa Verde National Park when she wrote the novel. A terrific copy. 8.25'' x 5.25''. Original half black paper, green paper boards, gilt-lettered spine. In original unclipped ($19.95) orange pictorial dust jacket designed by Honi Werner. 238 pages. Signed by Barr on title page. Tiny bump to head of spine. Endpapers somewhat toned, as usual.

Synopsis

Track of the Cat is 1954 William A. Wellman film starring Robert Mitchum and Teresa Wright. It was based on a 1949 adventure novel of the same name by Walter Van Tilburg Clark. This was Wellman's second adaptation of a Clark novel, the first being The Ox-Bow Incident.
