Published by Hodges, Smith and Co, Dublin, 1867, 1st edition. Rebound in a blue half leather binding with marbled boards. Five raised bands to spine, gilt lettering to spine. Teg. 10ins x 7.5ins, new endpapers, xx, 492pp. Frontis and 186 illustrations within the text. To the verso of the illustrated title page, facing the printed title page is a presentation inscription signed by ""the author"". Spine has faded a little to be more brown than blue but still a handsome and well preserved copy.
