Hardcover Book and Jacket in Very Good Condition. Foreword by Major-General W. D. M. Raeburn. Illustration section of twenty-seven plates; seven drawings of the tower at different time periods. Red full cloth binding, gilt titled; very clean and unmarked; lower edge rubbed with one tiny spot near spine heel rubbed through cloth. Tight sewn binding, solid, square. Front endpaper has a half circle stain, like a coffee stain, on the fore-edge, less than an inch long. All other pages very clean and completely unmarked. Black jacket with red and white lettering and illustration of the tower is clean, rubbed, light compression of spine head/heel, unclipped. Fore edge of page block has a small faint mark near the upper corner. 257 pages with Notes and Index. 9.25 x 6.25 inches. 1979, Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, New York, U.S.A.
