New York: Reynal & Hitchcock, 1948. Second printing (stated). Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. 5 3/8 x 7 3/4. 2G. Sewn binding in full cloth-covered boards, in dustjacket. Second printing of the original edition. A pretty nice copy of this scarce title, scarce especially in dustjacket. Tight binding, square spine, and intact hinges. No marks. Some faint smudges to the cloth on the front cover. Pages and endpapers lightly toned. Attractive Paul Elder bookstore label on rear pastdown. Price-clipped dustjacket has a ~1/2 sq inch stain inside at and near top of spine, a small bit of which is faintly visible from outside at top of front panel. Small mark inside at spine, not visible from outside. Rubbing and edgewear with a little creasing, but no major chips or tears.
