About This Item

New York: Committee on New Alternatives in the Middle East, 1972. Pamphlet. 80p., very good pamphlet in staplebound wraps. The editor headed the Middle East Peace Project. The booklet collects responses both positive and negative, ranging from some casting the pacifist Quakers as enemies of Israel to an Iraqi publication denouncing them as tools of Zionism. Concludes with an editorial reflection, which holds that the difference between the Quakers and their critics is that the Quakers retain hope.
