Spine with elaborate gold motif, and gilt lettering over a brown leather label. All edges gilt. Dentelles. Spine sunned. Boards slightly bowed. Some discoloration and staining to boards. Frontispiece. Laid-in ribbon marker. All gilt edges. The plates slightly bowed, corners slightly bumped. Minor tears to page edge on pp. 324-340, not affecting the text. Illustrated with original designs by Alfred Crowquill. In overall good condition.
