About This Item
New York: Grosset & Dunlap Very nice collection of this series. This series of books were produced between 1954 and 1963. There were eventually 33 books produced in this series which ended in 1971. Vol 1 -17 all in dust jackets protected in transparent mylar. Vol 18, 19 and 21 were not issued in jackets but pictorial covers. All are unmarked, tight and square. A few (2-3) of them have insignificant pencil markings to small areas like checkmarks next to books read but none to endpapers or title page or in text itself. Many of them are first printings. Numbers 3,6,8,9,11,15,16,17,19 are first printings so 9 of the 20 are the very first printings. #6 is NF/VG- because of dampstain and some of the others have clearly been read but there are no significant flaws, some of this collection are crisp and unread. Overall NF is correct grade for this collection. . Early Printing. Hardccover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Illus. by Graham Kaye. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
