Pictorial dust jacket with mylar cover; red cloth boards with title in black lettering on spine. Signed twice and inscribed on half title page. Inscription reads, "Inscribed again for Al Lowman with good wishes." Al Lowman was a noted author, historian and collector from Texas. In very good condition. Dust jacket has minor chipping to spine, minor chipping and tears to top edge, and front inside flap is clipped, although price is still visible; boards have light wear to spine and light toning to edges; text block is clean. The classic novel about a family of homesteaders raising beans and themselves in southern New Mexico in the 1920s and 1930s. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 226 pp; Signed by Author .
