Philis didn't particularly like his job nor his boss; who had a habit of sending him on missions with the minimum of pertinent information. He finds himself posing as a bodyguard of Catherine Zaffirelli, and he starts to wonder if he is involved with the mafia (a suspicion that is confirmed). But once his charge is kidnapped this is of no concern to him as he becomes the possessor of documents that may make him a man of means – that if his boss and the mafia don't murder him first. Rubbing the back strip edges and rubbing of the top book corners and lower edges. There is bumping to the lower edge of the front panel and a small piece has been scuffed from the lower edge of the rear panel. Fading of the back strip stop uniform light age toning of the text block edges and pages with the edges showing faint foxing and marks. Offset tanning to the end pages.
