Hardback, undated but circa 1900, published by Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent & Co. Ltd., London, 148 pages.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 5 7/8" by 4 5/8" by 3/4". Red cloth binding, gilt lettering and decoration to front board and spine. Some discolouration to areas of board and to spine, though colouring still reasonably vivid. A little marking and scuffing. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges, some tearing at head and tail of spine. Bumped and slightly torn corners. Binding quite firm, though cracking to front inner hinge. Page lower and fore-edges deckled and uncut. Upper page edges gilt. Some browning, marking and scuffing to page edges but reasonably clean. Some foxing to pastedowns and endpapers. The odd mark to page surfaces but otherwise clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
