Front hinge rather weak, but without any splitting to gutters. No signatures. Moderate insect damage causing some loss to front endpaper. Narrow split to gutter between frontispiece and title page.; xvi, 527 pages + frontis + plates + folding map. Title page states "With over one hundred and sixty full page and other illustrations and maps". Red cloth boards. Gilt illustration and gilt border on front board. Top page edges gilt.
