Cambridge, Massachusetts: Harvard University Press, 1970 Hardcover, in black cloth with design in blind to front board, title in gilt to spine, with dust jacket, now in mylar, 407 pp. The first general study (in English) of wajang kulit, or Indonesian shadow theater, as a theater art. Includes some color and black and white photography. Scripts in English for three productions: "The Incarnation of Rama," "Irawan's Wedding," and "The Death of Karna." Condition: Very Good with a Good dust jacket. The top of the text block is mildly foxed, however the interior of the book is remarkably bright and clean, appearing as new. The dust jacket is a bit scuffed, showing edgewear, and with small closed tears to corner and spine.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good.
