Leicester: The Brockhampton Book Co. , Ltd. ,. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1956. Presumed First UK Edition. Paperback. A charming small book of illustrated nursery rhymes featuring 'Three Jolly Welshmen' as the longest verse. Three Jolly Welshmen is an old British folk song dating to at least the early 17th century. In illustrated stapled card covers printed in blue/white/black, this was originally part of a series by Brockhampton produced as a 'Bundle of Four Books'. No date shown but the Illustrator was very active in the 1950s. Size is approx 4.6" x 2.8". Overall in excellent condition, apart from some slight 'bleeding' in the centre from the staples, which are rusting just a little. Unpaginated but consists of 20 pp. Charmingly Illustrated by Joan Gale Thomas in a sillhouette format in black/white and blue/black. The inside of the covers are illustrated in blue and 'This book belongs to' on the front is NOT filled in. Delightful small book. See Images; 32mo 4" - 5" tall .
