Glasgow: The N.U.W.M. [National Unemployed Workers’ Movement], 1933. FIRST EDITION, 8vo, pp. 20. Stapled as issued in pale pink wrappers printed in black. Paper a little toned. ‘Box 12’ in ink to front wrapper and first page. A pamphlet commemorating the Scottish hunger march of June 1933, one of a series of marches in the 1930s under the aegis of the National Unemployed Workers’ Movement, in which hundreds of men marched from Glasgow to Edinburgh to present their demands to the Secretary of State for Scotland. A reprint by Edinburgh-based publishers A.K. Press was produced in 1994.

Established in 1957, McNaughtan's Bookshop is the oldest surviving secondhand and antiquarian bookshop in Scotland. Located in the basement of a listed 1820s tenement building at the top of Edinburgh's Leith Walk, we are the only open shop in Edinburgh holding membership of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association.
