Spine with five raised bands, morocco title label, gilt decorated compartments. Marbled page edges, marbled endpapers. Double gilt fillet border to boards, gilt decorated board edges, blind tooled turn-ins. A little light marking to boards, light rubbing to spine. Good solid binding with no cracking to joints. The large fold-out map has two short tears at the hinge but is otherwise excellent. Well illustrated. Very clean text throughout. Gift inscription to leading blank: 'Malcolm McNeill from his sincere friend T. Edward Bagge, on his leaving Eton, April 1854.'. Overall condition is Very Good Plus.
