Thread of Life by Roger Lewin - July 17, 1989

Hardcover edition published by Smithsonian Books. This is a fourth edition copy. This copy is accompanied by a large wall poster of John Gurche's 27 food mural depicting the 700 million year span of life on Earth. The poster measures 10" X 36". The volume is 256 pages, with red cloth covered boards, illustrated throughout with color photos and drawings. This is a review of the process of evolution, with an emphasis on the changes in the understanding of the evolutionary process started by Darwin. There is very little wear to the book, no former ownership marks, the dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. The dust jacket does have a spot of color transfer from the red cloth covered boards, it just appears on the inside left on the top, about two inches across by one inch tall. No writing, no highlighting. This is not a remainder copy, not a library discard. The poster shows one small chip mark on the right side, about 1/4" inch long X 1/4" across. This will be mailed out in a sturdy box.
