Bound in cloth with paper label title present to the spine. Extra label tipped into the rear board. Original wrappers present and bound in. Boards have light wear present to the extremities of the boards. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. A wonderful example of one of the classic small press magazine of the time and a nice arts and crafts type magazine. The Thistle was inspired by the work of Hubbard. Fairchild gained fame as a stump speaker for Roosevelt, afterwards befcoming known for his humorous lectuers and dubbed the "Artemus Ward" of his day "with the irresitible waggishness of the quaint philosopher." E-05; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
