Inscribed on the front free nedpaper , "To ______/ with gratitude for an honor I shall always treasure---/ Norman Corwin". Hardcover. 338 pp. with glossary. Introduction by Carl Van Doren. Collection of plays that Corwin wrote between 1938 and n1942 for performance on radio. Near fine in very good dust jacket. Norman Corwin, a writer , playwright, essayinst and producer, was best known for his radio plays produced in the 1930s and 1940s. He is credited as being one of the first producers to use the entertainment media to tackle social issues. He won two Peabody Awards, an Emmy and a Golden Globe in addition to other prestigious honors.
