Includes sections about maple sugaring, game fish, fish hatcheries, fishways, wood-ducks, snipe, forestry, forest reservoirs, and other topics. Some beautiful color plates of fish species. Nine color plates by Sherman F. Denton of Cisco, White Bass, Silver Chub, Female Common Whitefish, Rocky Mountain Trout, Steelhead, Golden Shiner, Alewife, and Male Common Whitefish. Five color plates by J. H. Ridgway of birds: Kingfisher, Great Blue Heron, Male Woodduck, Female Woodduck, and Wilson's Snipe. ; 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall; 455 pages .
