San Angelo, TX: Fort Concho Museum Press; (1986). First Edition . Hardcover. Fine in a very good+ dust jacket. The jacket has a little rubbing in places, but no chips or tears. Inscribed by the author on thr front endpaper: "For my cousin Melba - a collection of my early writing lessons - Elmer Kelton 12/6/86 at Old Fort Concho". Melba Kelton Younce was Elmer's first cousin and roughly the same age.
