About This Item
Signed. First edition. Margo Jones revived the ancient concept of theatre in the round and made it new again. In 1947, in Dallas, she established the first permanent theatre company in America, outside of New York. A major force in establishing Tennesse Williams as a major playwright. She produced and directed the world premier of Inherit the Wind. She helped launch the careers of many famous actors and playwrights. The book has very minor corner bumping and is slightly, but evenly toned throughout and is very good +. There is no dust jacket. The jacket inside flaps have been cut out and are folded in half and laid in. The book is inscribed to Art, who is Arthur Kramer, a prominent Dallas arts patron and friend. "To Art, Love, Margo".
