The first edition. In the publisher's original cloth. Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece, monochrome vignettes and one hundred and sixty-three monochrome plates. Collated complete. This profusely illustrated work provides a pictorial tour of the Thames river in England, with views of from and of the river and the surrounding locations and buildings. The work was written by John Leyland and contains a selection of photographs from the Hudson & Kearns photographic printing company. Undated, dated by copies held on Jisc. In the publisher's original pictorial cloth. Externally generally smart with fading, rubbing and bumping to the extremities, closed tears to the head and tail of the spine and marks and damp stains to the, heaviest to the rear board. Front joint starting. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Internally firmly bound with lightly age toned and generally clean pages with the odd minor mark. Good
