White cloth with gilt spine and upper board lettering and a decorative upper board device, octavo, pp. 175. Gilt a bit faded over the last 90 years. Tissue-guarded frontis of a pensive Bridges, Poet Laureate of Britain from 1913-1930. Printed at the Plimpton Press, Norwood, MA. This copy complete with the uncommon "Publisher's Note on the Text" tipped in at rear. Fore-edge of pp. 83/84 uneven after a clumsy opening, either by a dull implement or an unprofessional hand (see photo). Previous owner has underlined passages of personal interest. Small stain on rear board (see photo).
