Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1948. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. This 1948 1st Edition, 1st Printing is in Very Good condition. The hardback is clean without any stains, bumps, folds or markings. The outer vertical pages 259-265 were not cut by the publisher resulting in an owner opening them up unevenly. There is no dust jacket. Adapted by Frederic Danny & Manfred Lee, with dialog by Paul Gegauff and Screenplay written by Eugene Archer & Paul Gardner for the 1971 Claude Chabrol film. It starred Anthony Perkiins, Michel Piccoli, Marlene Jobert and Orson Welles.
