NY: Essential Books. Very Good in Very Good- dust jacket. 1944. Hardcover. Blue textured cloth titled in red. Edition not stated, probable first. Lengthy inscription to half title page by playwright Lee to film historian Bob Birchard, dated 1975. Also signed by Lee to title page. Spine ends/points softened, rubbed. Tiny white spots to front board, small dampstain to rear board. The DJ in mylar is chipped at spine ends/points, price clipped, with a few tiny edge tears. Lee was an American playwright and lyricist and with his writing partner Jerome Lawrence, founded American Playwrights' Theatre, and collaborated on the films Shangri-La, Mame, and other works. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Signed by Author .
