A lovely memorial to "Lawrence of Arabia" by such as Bernard Shaw, Lord Allenby, Robert Graves, and many others who knew this remarkable man, edited by his brother. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition (stated). Nice sienna cloth binding with "TEL" on the front cover in gilt; titling in gilt within a black label on the spine, along with gilt decoration featuring scimitars. Clean text; xiii, 538 pages. Frontis portrait of Lawrence, with seven other illustrations within. Introduction by Lord Halifax. Small contemporary bookseller label on the rear paste-down. Tiny bit of rub to tips, some very light tan to page ends. Else, a Fine copy, lacking a dustjacket. A lovely production. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
