Plus [unpaginated] colour thumbnail illustrated title page, and a double-page colour illustrated Contents list/table. Visually the exterior appearance is exceptional and particularly internally,is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation, for a book of its 25+ year-old age and nature, i.e. a child's ephemeral p/back book. It really is an exceptional, exemplary example copy for its cleanliness, brightness, complete with CD and lack of detracting faults. How can a blind man seemore than his companion, the hunter? What will become of the pedlar who decides to follow his dream? And how do fishes find themselves swimming in the grass of a forest? Nothing is quite as it seems in this book; so prepare yourself to be astonished, intrigued and enchanted as you follow the magical transformations that occur among these pages. In 'Tales of Wisdom & Wonder', you will meet remarkable animals as well as extraordinary people, among them a curing fox,an inquisitive monkey,a clever farmer and a very unusual butterfly. Beautifully captured by Niamh Sharkey's quirky and perceptive illustations, these tales have all of the colour and vigour of the countries and cultures they represent. At the same time, they each remind us in different ways of how vast and mysterious our world is,and how our lives can be transformed in the most unexpected circumstances. Book was the winner of the Bisto Book of the Year Award,Ireland and the Mother Goose Award,England.
