Synopsis
A collection of short stories, dipping into recent Danish history and society, but are mostly stories of what people do with – and to – people. All the stories take place on March 19, 1929, but Høeg takes the reader many places in his blend of psychology, satire, irony, harsh truths, deep emotions and sexuality.
