Exeter, New Hampshire: J. & B. Williams, 1839. 1839. Two volumes in one, with frontis and engraved title from the 1831 New York edition included in each volume. Full polished calf, 310 + 333 pages. Externally worn, with most of spine covering missing (one portion remains but is detached), edges worn. Good joints/hinges, firm text block, clean pages with some light age-toning, no noted chips or tears, some dampstaining to the frontis illustrations and engraved titles, some dampstaining to the top margin of the last fifty leaves or so, private library sticker on front pastedown. Reading copy.. Hard Cover. Fair. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
