Excellent copies in their original binding, each in their dust wrapper. Beatrix Potter is a famed author for children's literature, who saw major success with her tales featuring animals, starting from 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' in 1902; Of these children's tales there exist twenty three each regarding a different animals. She was also a prize-winning breeder of Herdwick sheep and a farmer keenly interested in land preservation. She kept writing and illustrating her tales for Frederick Warne until her duties of land management and her diminishing eye-sight made it hard to continue.All volumes are written and fully illustrated in colour by Beatrix Potter. This set includes seven of her tales:The Tale of Peter Rabbit, following a mischievous and disobedient young Peter Rabbit as he is chased around the garden of Mr McGregor. The 1965 edition.The Tale of Ginger & Pickles, following the story of two shopkeepers who extend unlimited credit to their customers and, as a result, are forced to go out of business. The 1977 edition.The Tale of a Fierce Bad Rabbit, which tells of a bad little rabbit who is fired upon by a hunter and loses his tail and whiskers. The 1971 edition. Each volume comes in its original dust wrapper, only two of seven are price-clipped. In the original publisher's binding over paper covered boards. Externally lovely with only minor shelf wear and some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities of the occasional volume. With a minor mark to the rear board of 'Samuel Whiskers.' The dust wrapper is unclipped for most copies and very smart with minor shelf wear only and some soiling to the wraps as well as a slight chipping to the head and tail of the spine of the occasional wrapper. The price clipped wrappers are that of Peter Rabbit and Johnny Town-Mouse. With a minor inscription only to the front wrap of 'A Fierce Bad Rabbit.'
