Souvenir Press, London, 1976. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. 256 pp., last rank, acknowledgements, preface by author, forward by Denis Burkitt, selected bibliography and index. Black coloured boards with the writing on spine. Bumping to the lower spine on edge and shelfwear to the lower book edge. The panels of the book are rubbed and slightly scuffed and there is browning and dust marks to the paper edges. There is an erasure mark to the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper. Internal pages have started to slightly turn brown. Plan text dustwrapper, with blue and gold background with black and gold writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is rubbed, and the back panel is quite grubby and dull. Crinkling to the top dustwrapper edge. Price clipping to the front fold over, lower right-hand corner. A book on dietary fibre/roughage and some of Western society's most preventable diseases/illnesses: -- constipation, diverticular disease, constipation etc. This is the first UK edition.
