About This Item
First edition. A biography of one who has been called the "father of modern advertising". A riches-to-riches story (his father was president of a number of banks in Galveston, TX), Lasker was quite influential in the advertising game from the end of the 19th century through the first five decades of the 20th.
No dust jacket. The black fabric covers show little wear, other than a drop of paint on the front cover (does that make the owner a bad painter, or bad book owner?) and significant fading over the spine. Hard to tell if the print on the spine was silver or gilt, but it is mostly gone at this point. The pages are clean and tight, with minor age-related tanning. A section of photographs can be found near the center of the book. A scarce book.
