First edition, hardcover with dust jacket in archival cover. Condition is Fine: there is a small light pencil check on the half title, no other markings or issues. Dust jacket shows trace edge and corner wear. Please see images of the book you will receive. Notes: Book is author's journal from 1917-1922 in Tahiti. Includes photos and paintings from that period. Author followed that well traveled path of Harvard Law graduate to art school in Paris, World War 1 soldier on to life in Tahiti. He crossed paths with Nordhoff, Hall, Cassatt and others.
