Sestine in lode del tabacco che iniziano con l'incitazione 'amici andiamo all'Ussero', che la nota definisce come uno dei piu' bei caffe' di Pisa, posto sul Lung'Arno. Seguono riferimenti sull'uso e lo scoprimento del tabacco in S. Domingo.

Pisa, (Italy): Tipografia Nistri, 1834. One of four editions printed in 1834 (the others in Firenzi, Lugano, and Napili). 16mo. 26 pp. Book length poem. With the engraved illustrated bookplate of George Arents on the front pastedown, with accession and catalogue numbers in ink and marked "Duplicate" in top margin. OCLC locates two of this edition (British Library, Bologna), four for Fitenzi (Cornell, Library of Congress, Harvard, Qatar Museum of Islamic Art), and one each for Lugano (Duke) and Napili (Liverpool). Gray cloth, leather spine label, original plain wrappers bound in. Very good.
