Boards rebound in marbled paper, with brown cloth at spine. Heavily rubbed along edges; bumped at corners and in a couple of places elsewhere.
Zoological Society of London stamp on title page and at end of index. Stains at corners of front and rear pastedowns; pencil inscriptions on front free endpaper and title page; pencil marks on a number of pages; foxing on pages at front and rear of book and sparsely elsewhere. Hinges becoming loose at front and rear gutters but binding remaining firm.
