About This Item
(London: Seeley, Jackson and Halliday: 1876) Decorated cloth (that is, hard covers) pp. viii, 243 (213 x 160 mm). Illustrated with twenty etchings by the Author and other artists. With two autograph letters signed dated 11 Oct. 1884 and 28 Feb. 1891 by the author to an owner of the book, with envelopes, one set tipped on front free endpaper and the other loosely inserted. All edges gilt. An owner's bookplate on front fixed endpaper. Head and foot of spine and corners of boards worn; scattered foxing; a very good copy.
