BG4 - A tight, clean, sound copy with minor overall shelf wear with the DJ endflaps glued to the front and back fixed endpapers, yellowing of the outside paper edges, usual library marks, stamps, and labels on the top and bottom outside paper edges, the front fixed and free endpapers, the title page, and the copyright page. DJ shows minor overall shelf wear with the front and back endflaps are glued to the fixed endpapers, library labels on the spine, some scattered overall soiling and creasing, still in the original library mylar sleeve. This is the second volume of a series of six book that provide a comprehensive, unexpurgated, and complete collection of the letters of the great English poet Algernon Charles Swinburne. Swinburne is noted as one of the finest letter writers in English and his interests range widely including art, music, drama, archaeology, law, politics, and crime. This volume covers the years 1869-1875. 378p. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
