Kate Wilhelm (1928 - 2018) was an American author who wrote novels and stories in science fiction, mystery, and suspense genres, including the Hugo Award-winning Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang, A Charlie Meiklejohn & Constance Leidl Mystery. SWEET, SWEET POISON begins with a couple enjoying their escape from the Bronx into the quiet woods of a rural retreat, when their guard dog poisoned along with a member of a biological team doing research in the area. EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION in all respects! Number line indicating printing ends in "1." Slight rubbing to lower edge of the otherwise bright, clean dust jacket. No remainder marks. DJ has edgewear.
