Color illustrated wrappers. pages 1049-1256, The lavishly illustrated installment in the famed magazine including prelimin color photographs for the forthcoming Panama-Pacific International Exposition as well as the automobile travelogue by Powell. Of additional interest are t ads for electric automobiles, such as the 1913 Baker electric marketed to the "discriminating woman." Articles include: "The Panama-Pacific Exposition Today," photographs by Swadley; "The Christmas Bird Census at Santa Barbara" William Leon Dawson; "Stately Homes of California," by Porter Garnett; "Autobirds of Passage," by E. Alexander Powell, etc. Numerous color plates, photochromes. Color-illustrated wrappers, yapp edges, beautiful cover art by W.H. Bull, A California Water-baby (minor chipping to head and foot of spine, edgewear, minor creasing), still a very good bright copy.
