Wire spiral binding in green cloth hardcover. 415pp. Indexed. Illustrated by Antonio Sotomayor. Very Good, modestly worn on the ends and corners and the title page first rung is torn. There are a few notations "delish" beside recipes and the edges are toned. The dust jacket is poor. "Here are the finest recipes which have appeared in the monthly issues of Sunset Magazine over a period of twenty years. ...also from other food articles, including Adventures in Food, Taste Tips, and seasonal features. Hundreds of these recipes have never before been published in book form. ...the emphasis on informality, with a profusion of dishes quickly and easily prepared, such as casseroles, salads, and one-dish meals." (From the Foreword.) In "Notes to the Cook" there is an interesting introduction of monosodium glutamate as a flavor enhancing seasoning.
