About This Item
Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1915 Book. Illus. by Anton Fischer. Very Good. Hardcover. Signed and Inscribed By the Author. On the first free endpaper, Knibbs wrote an eight line poem to his long-time friend, Harrie Herniman Teabolt that begins as follows "It ain't no use for to talk like that,... Faithfully, Harry H. Knibbs". Curiousely, Knibbs often signed Harry instead of Henry especially to his closest friends and family. Perhaps this was because of his close friendship to Harrie Teabolt. Teabolt dated the book February twenty-eighth nineteen twenty-two and affixed his personel embossed stamp. Tipped in the back is a hand-drawn map of their E. E. Harriman Expedition to the Painted Desert initialed at the bottom, HHK..
