New York: Four Winds Press, 1980. Hardcover. Very Good/very good. 12x8x0. Unmarked. Clipped dust jacket under clear, archival mylar cover. Beautifully illustrated by the author. Presents the Daedalus story for children. Daedalus fashions wings for the escape of himself and his son Icarus from the Labyrinth of King Monos of Crete, but Icarus fails to heed his father's warnings about their use. The book is based on an animated film of the same name by Caldecott Medalist Gerald McDermott. The film was also awarded the Zellerbach Award for Film as Art at the San Francisco International Film Festival.
