Containing such verses as 'Moonshine', 'Fish', 'Bishop Winterbourne', 'The Pretender', 'The Accompaniment' and 'The Blackbird.Walter de la Mare (1873-1956) was a prominent English poet and short story writer remembered for his children's works and horror stories.Complete with the unclipped dust wrapper.Illustrated with over thirty woodcuts by Bold.A smart first edition of this collection of verses. In the publisher's original full cloth binding with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just a touch of edgewear. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition, with just a few light marks. Small closed tear to the head of the front wrap has been repaired to the verso. Professional repairs and reinforcements to the head and tail of spine as well as to the head and tail of flyleaf joints. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
