About This Item
New York: The New York City Center Theatre Company, 1955. Original Souvenir Program . Oversize Paper. Uncommon attractive duo souvenir program for two plays that were part of The New York City Centers All Star Winter Play Festival. The plays were revivials of Tennessee Williams's "A Streetcar Named Desire" that starred Tallulah Bankhead. "King Lear" the other play starred Orson Welles with Viveca Lindfors & Geraldine Fitzgerald. Welles also got production credit, and the score was by Marc Blitzstein. The program is divided in two, (partly upside down) with Welles getting 4pgs. and Bankhead with 8pgs. 2 of which contains an original piece? "Facts About Me" by Tennessee Williams. Illustrated with many photos. Light touch of wear to the top corner of the Welles cover and a light small bottom edge that is sun faded. The two covers are striking printed in black and red. Vg.
