About This Item

London: Hodder & Stoughton. First edition and in very good or better condition. The wrapper has 2 short tears to the front panel and 1 to the back panel. Otherwise is complete and has not been price clipped. The book is in very presentable condition. The boards are without wear and the pages clean. There is no previous owner's ink. This copy is very good or better. Julia Trevelyan Oman has signed this copy on the front free end paper. "Dick, with very best wishes, from Julia, November 23rd 1964." Dated in the year of publication, the author has inscribed this copy to Richard Levin. Richard Levin OBE (31 December 1910 - 2 July 2000) was the former head of design at BBC Television from 1953 to 1971. Previous to this role, he had been drafted in as head of camouflage for the Air Ministry during the Battle of Britain. He was also the author of 'Television by Design'. A nice association. This is also a scarce book to find in this condition and signed.  . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st Printing. 1964.
